Account Deletion Process

This page details the account deletion process for the Google Play store app SwayDM (com.swaydm.app), developed by Krier, Godfrey & Grassbaugh, Inc.

This page details the account deletion process for the Apple iOS app SwayDM (dm.sway.app), developed by Krier, Godfrey & Grassbaugh, Inc.

1. Email support@sway.dm

Email support@sway.dm from the email address used to create your account. Use "Account Deletion Request" as the subject.

2. Request Confirmation

SwayDM may need verify the requester is the owner of the account. This may involve requesting the user to log into SwayDM via the website, or the mobile app.

3. Account Deactivation

After the request is verified, the account will be deactivated. This will prevent all future login into the account.

4. Data Deletion

SwayDM will initiate the data deletion process. This involves removing user data from all 3rd party providers, and all user related data from within SwayDM systems. This will be completed within 5 business days of account deactivation. An email will be sent when complete to confirm the account deletion process has been fully processed. Certain systems may retain data for up to 45 days after deletion, the data will not accessible to any end users.

Deleted Data
  • Personally Identifiable Information (email, sms, street address, ip address)
  • Profile Information (bio, links, profile image)
  • Location Information (ip address, geolocation)
  • Message History
  • InApp Search
  • Uploaded Images, Video, and Audio

5. Retained Data

Certain data will be retained, but will be anonymized so it is not associated with any identifiers of the original user. Examples of retained data include SwayCash transactions. This is necessary for SwayDM internal systems to remain consistent for other users.

Manage App Data

You may submit a request to delete certain data SwayDM has collected through the app, without deleting your entire account.
  • Activity History
  • Image / Video Uploads
  • Message History
